FRANZON, Enrico
February 8, 1947 - December 21, 2016

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Enrico Franzon on December 21, 2016 at the age of 69 surrounded by his family at his side after battling Pneumonia followed up with a major stroke. He was born in San Bonifacio, Verona, Italy and was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, In-Law, Uncle, Great Uncle and Friend. Enrico is predeceased by his son Robert Anthony, Father Antonio, Mother Caterina, Brother Adriano and Brother Bruno. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Rosa (nee Cuccione), son David, daughter Sonya (Giovanni), adoring grandchildren Selena and Anthony, Brothers Giuseppe (Eliana), Giam Pietro, Sister-in-law Diane, Father-in-Law Armando (Anna), Brother-in-Law Mike (Carla), Sister-in-Law Rena (Vince), Brother-in-Law Domenic (Gloria), Brother-in-Law Steve (Julie), Sister-in-law Carmela (Craig) as well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews (Vancouver and Montreal). Due to his friendly nature he will also be dearly missed by his many friends. He was a welder fabricator by trade and most of his career was spent working in the construction industry. In 1987 he joined Rogers Sugar and retired in 2009 as a result of first stroke suffered which he did recover from. He will live on in everyone’s hearts as a charming, vivacious and funny remarkable person who lived life to the fullest that touched so many lives. He enjoyed gardening, pampering his fig tree, avid reader, socializing at Brentwood Mall but most of all time spent with his family and precious grandchildren. He was taken from us too soon and has left a void in our hearts that cannot be explained but do know that he will continue to watch over us from heaven. Special thanks to Burnaby General Hospital 3D Staff for the outstanding moral support and care provided during his five week stay not only to him but to the family as well. Visitation is to be held on Thursday December 29, 2016 between 6:00 and 8:00 pm at Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel located at 4276 Hastings Street, Burnaby. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, December 30, 2016 at 9:30 am at St. Helen’s Parish located at 3860 Triumph Street, Burnaby. Entombment to follow at Ocean View Burial Park, South Mausoleum, 4000 Imperial Avenue, Burnaby. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of BC (Domenic Mobilio Foundation Legacy) or the Michael Cuccione Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research at BC Children’s Hospital.
