Obituary for Ruth Elaine Palmieri

Palmieri Ruth Elaine (nee Olson) June 27, 1950 – March 3, 2018
Our family lost the best wife, mom, nanny, and friend anyone could have asked for. After a brave and fierce battle with cancer, Ruth passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her loved ones, exactly as she wished.

With a huge heart full of love, kindness, caring, and support, Ruth created a wonderful family and perfect home. She always put her family first, and everyone who had a chance to meet her will miss her loving touch and caring presence. Ruth made special occasions incredibly memorable. She was a terrific cook and always made sure everyone was happy with enough to eat and drink.
Leaving to mourn her passing are her loving husband Frank, sons Darren (Chelsea), David, daughter Deanna (Anthony) and her cherished grandchildren; Giordano, Amedeo, Adelynne and Jameson. Ruth is also leaving behind her four brothers, four sisters, nieces, nephews and many other family members.
Funeral services will be held on March 13, 2018; 10 AM at Holy Cross Parish in Burnaby with a celebration of life to follow.
Special thanks to her sister Sharon for helping make her final months more comfortable.
Thanks to the Burnaby and Fraser Heath Palliative Care teams in providing her with good care.
In lieu of flowers donations to the Burnaby Hospital Foundation in Ruth’s name would be greatly appreciated.
