Obituary for Raffaelle Funaro

Raffaele Funaro
March 26, 1933 – August 10, 2017
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Raffaele after a courageous battle with Parkinson. He was a loving husband, father, nonno and a good friend. He leaves behind his wife of 52 years, Anna; children Danilo, Andrew (Holly), Christian, Ralph; grandchildren Ralphie, Isabella, Lucas and Roman; siblings Joe (Joan), Anita (Mario); Silvana (Pino). He will join his parents Maria and Pasquale, his sisters Irma and Nilde, and brother Tony in Heaven.
Raffaele was a very kind person and a respected architect . He designed thousands of homes in his 40 years in Canada, putting his European touch on every design. He was incredibly respected within his profession and the Italian community. Throughout his many years in business, Raffaele was known for his professionalism and caring ways. His kindness and good nature is a testament to his legacy. He will be greatly missed by all.
Prayers will be held on Thursday, August 17 at 7:30 pm at St. Helen’s Parish (3860 Triumph Street, Burnaby) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am on Friday, August 18th at St. Helen’s Parish. Entombment at the Ocean View Burial Park South Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Parkinson Society of B.C.
