Obituary for Jelena Hecimovic
August 12, 1929 – June 24, 2017
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Jele. Left to morn her loss are her husband Ivan; children Ive, Kate (Devin) Moberg, Maria; niece Kata Bajic; countless relatives throughout Canada, USA and Croatia; cherished grandchildren Anthony, Amanda, Martina and Annika. Born in her beloved Kosa-Lika, Croatia where she spent the first 40 years, emigrating to her new adapted homeland in Vancouver on October 1, 1969. Prayers will be offered at 7:00pm, Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Croatian Church, 3105 E. 1st Avenue, Vancouver, where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am Thursday, June 29th, 2017. Entombment will follow at the South Mausoleum, Ocean View Burial Park, Burnaby. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
