Obituary for Giuseppa Rosa "Rosa" Gentile

GENTILE, Rosa
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and sister at the age of 81 years. She suffered from Progressive Supranuclear Palsy which inevitably took her life. She was predeceased by her husband Nick and brothers Vincenzo, Onofrio and Alfonso. Rosa will be sadly missed and forever remembered by her daughters Linda, Lorena (John), her loving grandchildren Michelle, Daniel, Antonio, Jenessa, her brothers Stefano (Giorgietta), Joe (Louise) and many nieces, nephews and friends. Special thanks to the staff at Villa Carital, each and everyone of you there did a remarkable job taking care of our dear mother. Mom was beautiful, loving, caring and cherished the time she spent with her family and friends. She was always there and would have done anything for us. She was generous, supportive and always encouraging. She was the pillar of our family and loved us unconditionally. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Friday, April 7, 2017 at Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel, 4276 Hastings St. Burnaby. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am on Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Our Lady of Sorrows Parish, 525 Slocan St., Vancouver. Entombment will follow at the South Mausoleum, Ocean View Burial Park, Burnaby. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Parkinson’s Society would be appreciated.
