Obituary for Francesco Pietro Aiello

AIELLO, Francesco Pietro
January 17, 1925 – March 20, 2017

It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Francesco Pietro Aiello on March 20th at the age of 92 years. He was predeceased by his beloved wife of over 50 years, Maria Rosaria, who shared with him years of immense love and unwavering commitment; his loving son Luigi and parents Maria & Antonio; brothers Luigi, Natalino and Guiseppe; his great-grandson Xavier-Isaac. He is survived by his family, daughter Raffaelina (Bruno), cherished grandfather of his beloved grandchildren Dolores (Thomas), Maria-Francesca and Sandro (Paola); great grandchildren Chiara and Philipp; brothers Pietro, Antonio, sister Maria and many nieces & nephews in Italy, and Canada. Born in, Amato, Italy, Francesco immigrated to Canada to make a new life. He was a tireless worker who, along with Maria, built a home that was open to all.
Francesco was quick to laugh, was always looking to make others comfortable and was at his happiest when surrounded by his family. He was proud of his backyard garden, loved the outdoors, and was famous for his homemade sausages and wine. Always the first one to lend a hand, his energy was boundless and his happiness in the company of others made a room light up. Francesco will be lovingly remembered as someone who took care of many, asked for little in return and filled the lives of those who knew him with laughter and joy. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, April 1, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church 2025 Napier St. Vancouver, B.C. Entombment to follow at the Abbey Mausoleum, Ocean View Burial Park, Burnaby, B.C. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.bellburnaby.com
