Obituary for Pasqualino Rinaldo Ghiorzi

Ghiorzi, Pasqualino Rinaldo
April 5, 1931 – February 14, 2017
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father and Nonno. After a wonderful life filled with family and friends, Rinaldo left us all too soon on February 14, 2017 at the age of 85. He will be deeply missed by his beloved wife of 61 years, Renata and his only daughter Gabriella (Lino) Siracusa. Rinaldo leaves behind his three cherished grandchildren, Erica, Daniel and Laura – his three treasures. He will be missed by his many friends, nephews, nieces and cousins in Italy, Canada and the USA. The youngest of five children, Rinaldo was born in Tarsogno, Parma, Italy and began his life in Canada in 1965. Rinaldo worked for over 30 years in construction and landscaping, never missing a day of work. He proudly cared for his vegetable garden, his canaries and his home. Hard working, kind and gentle and always positive – these are the qualities that defined Rinaldo. Visitation will be held for family and friends from 5-7pm on Sunday, February 19, 2017 at Bell and Burnaby Funeral Chapel, 4276 Hastings Street, Burnaby. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Monday, February 20, 2017 at St. Helen’s Catholic Church, 3860 Triumph Street, Burnaby. Entombment to follow at the Abbey, Ocean View Burial Park, Burnaby. In lieu of flowers, donations in Pasqualino’s name may be made to Burnaby General Hospital. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.bellburnaby.com
