SIMONE, Caterina (nee: Susca)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a wonderful wife, mother, Nonna and Bisnonna. Caterina Simone was born in Mola di Bari, Italy on July 8, 1936 and passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 16, 2016. Caterina is survived by her loving husband Pietro; her children: Nick (Cathy), Mary (Shahriar), Vito (Susan), Joanne (Leo), Tony (Alberta); 10 grandchildren and 3 great-granchildren. Also survived by her sisters and brothers, along with their families in Canada and Italy. Her family was her everything. The family wish to thank the St. Elizabeth’s Health Care Group 12 for their care of Caterina. Public visitation will be held Wednesday, December 21, 2016 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Bell & Burnaby Funeral Chapel 4276 Hastings St., Burnaby, BC. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, December 22, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Helen’s Parish 3860 Triumph St., Burnaby, BC. Entombment will follow at the Abbey Mausoleum, Ocean View Burial Park, Burnaby, BC. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Alzheimer Society of Canada. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.bellburnaby.com
