Obituary for Peter Nilo Moretti

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear father and Nonno, Peter Nilo Moretti, at the age of 91yrs, surrounded by family. Born in San Martino, Italy, he was predeceased by his parents, sister Maria and the love of his life, his wife, Giovannina in 1998. He is survived by his loving family, his sons, Stephen (Nancy) and Roy, and his pride and joy, his grandchildren, Nicolas and Daniella. Also loved by his sister-in-law Bruna, cousin Nila, nieces and nephews and their families, and many friends and relatives in Canada and Italy. Dad was a kind and honest person who will always be remembered for his generosity, positive attitude and his sweet smile. His most precious gift in life was his family. He dedicated his life to love us, to give us values to live by, and to give guidance to support us. Dad will always be remembered by his friends and business partners as a man of integrity and loyalty. Dad enjoyed caring for his roses in his garden and offering them to his beautiful Giovannina. He enjoyed making his wine, “Vin di Morett”, playing bocce and going on his daily walks. We miss you, Dad, but you will always be in our hearts. Special thanks to the St. Paul’s Hospital Cardiac ICU team, Dr. Taylor and Dr. Jamal, Cara and the amazing Renal team for giving us more precious time with Dad. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00am on Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at Holy Cross Parish, 1450 Delta Avenue, Burnaby. Entombment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in the Garden Mausoleum, Burnaby. In lieu of flowers donations to Kidney Foundation or Heart & Stroke Foundation.
